Mission Trails Engagement Session with Caleb & Allyson

When I first spoke with Alysson about their San Diego engagement session, she mentioned Mission Trails as the location she liked. It had the exact vibe she wanted for their engagement session: outdoor and rustic.

Mission Trails engagement sessions are always great. It's a location I enjoy using for San Diego engagement sessions. I hadn't been to Mission Trails in a while, so I was excited to explore the place with Caleb and Allyson. We met at the entrance, followed the trail, and stopped for some shots.

Mission Trails is an easy trail most people would not have any problems with doing. No steep hills and even terrain make for an enjoyable hike between the mountains. I haven't been to Mission Trails for an engagement session right after it rains, so be aware that it's in a valley and subject to floods.

Caleb and Alysson are super fun to be around and were excited about their Mission Trails engagement session. We started with a few walking shots to warm them up and moved to some portraits along Mission Trails.

We kept hiking on Mission Trails looking for unique locations to photograph, and we found plenty. With the Spring in full bloom, flowers were colorful and alive. It's always a plus in Mission Trails engagement sessions.

We found a very cool Oak tree that looked like it had tentacles. It was a great place to stop, and Caleb and Allyson loved how it looked. I had them sitting down on the bottom of the tree for a wide shot that is pretty unique.

We walked on Mission Trails until we found the river and took a few photos there. We decided it was time to start hiking back to avoid hiking in the dark. W still stopped in many locations for some photos on our way back.

Caleb and Alysson enjoyed their afternoon, and we chatted about their lives and wedding. They have just graduated from a small Santa Barbara college where they met and are having their wedding later this year at Los Willows.

It was another great Mission Trails engagement session, and I was happy to meet Caleb and Allyson. I can't wait for their Los Willows wedding in the fall.
