San Diego Rustic Engagement Session With Dave & Stacey

Couple kissing inside cave at Solana Beach trails for San Diego rustic engagement session by Julio Fonyat

Meeting Dave and Stacey for the first time in my office was great. I could tell that we would be a good match for their wedding photography. When it was time to talk about their pre-wedding photo shoot, Stacey had two requests: she wanted a San Diego rustic engagement session, and she wanted her dog, Roo, to be a part of it. It all sounded great to me!

We met at Solana Beach Trails, where I enjoy photographing couples. There was no better place for their San Diego rustic engagement session. We started on the trail path, and they were quickly at ease with the camera. Always making each other laugh, they were certainly having fun.

We decided to go off the path for an adventure. Stacey wanted to check out the Mushroom Caves, and I thought it was a great idea. We found some unique spots and some photogenic landscapes. The shot of them kissing inside the cave is one of my all-time favorites!

After a successful start for Dave and Stacey’s San Diego rustic engagement session, it was time to go to Encinitas and grab Roo and Dave’s Bronco. We drove to the Encinitas Heritage Museum, which we knew would be the perfect location for this.

With all that effort, Dave and Stacey deserved some coffee! We opened the back of their Bronco, brought Roo up, and they enjoyed each other's company with some warm coffee. It was the best possible end for a great San Diego rustic engagement session.
