I'm Julio Fonyat, a Carlsbad wedding photographer originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I grew up surrounded by photography, architecture, and art. At 15, my mother gave me my father's cameras, and that was the moment everything changed. I moved to San Diego in 2002 and have spent over two decades capturing weddings, engagements, and families up and down the Southern California coast, including right here in Carlsbad.
My style blends photojournalism with natural portraiture — I document real moments without interrupting them, so your images feel genuine, emotional, and timeless.
