Over nearly two decades as a San Diego wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of shooting at some of the most beautiful venues in the region. From beachfront ceremonies in La Jolla and Carlsbad to elegant estate weddings in Rancho Santa Fe and rustic celebrations in Temecula wine country, San Diego offers an incredible variety of backdrops for wedding photography.

Some of my most frequently photographed San Diego wedding venues include Cuvier Park in La Jolla, Martin Johnson House, Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad, Cape Rey Resort, Darlington House, The Skybox, and Jeune Perché. Each venue brings its own character, and I take the time to scout every location in advance so I know exactly where the best light falls and where the most memorable images can be made.

San Diego Wedding Photography — Frequently Asked Questions

  • I recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 12 to 18 months before your wedding date. San Diego is an incredibly popular wedding destination, and weekends fill up quickly, especially from May through October. That said, if your date is coming up sooner, reach out anyway — I occasionally have openings for shorter notice bookings.

  • Absolutely. While I am based in San Diego, I am available for weddings anywhere in the world. I have photographed weddings throughout the United States and internationally, and I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish, which makes destination weddings a natural fit.

  • My style as a San Diego wedding photographer blends photojournalism with natural portraiture. I document real moments as they happen with little intrusion, while also creating beautiful, guided portraits of you and your partner. The result is a collection of images that feels authentic, emotional, and timeless.

  • Every wedding is different, but most couples receive a full gallery of professionally edited, high resolution images delivered through a private online gallery. You will be able to view, download, and order prints directly from the gallery.

  • I have photographed weddings at venues across San Diego County including Cuvier Park in La Jolla, Martin Johnson House, Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad, Cape Rey Resort, Darlington House, The Skybox, Jeune Perché, and many more. I am also happy to shoot at venues I have not visited before — I always scout locations in advance to find the best light and settings for your photos.

  • Yes! I highly recommend adding an engagement session before your wedding. It is a great way for us to get comfortable working together, and you will walk away with beautiful photos to use for save the dates, your wedding website, or simply to remember this time in your lives.
